WHAT ARE TRANSFORMATION TRIPS?
Similar to Mission Trips, CHF’s Transformation Trips consist of teams of men, women, and children who have a desire to serve. We design Transformation Trips to be mentally, physically, and spiritually challenging. Over the past few years we’ve discovered that the best way for one to discover their purpose, is to get lost in serving others.
Just a few years ago, my wife (then my girlfriend) and I were told by our church that we couldn’t participate in any more mission trips until we were married. In that moment, it became blatantly clear that it was time to design, create, and execute my own trips. Three months later, I led my first Transformation Trip to Tijuana, Mexico. I decided against calling them, “Mission Trips.” I wanted people from all different backgrounds and religions to experience what I had discovered—the power and beauty of serving selflessly and loving others. Over our Last 6 trips, we have served thousands of meals, witnessed countless breakthroughs, and transformations and have built 7 homes for families in dire need.
When planning a trip, our primary focus is ensuring our team is able to bless individuals and communities with sustainable solutions within our five areas of focus (pictured on the right). Next, we focus on doing everything we can to make sure participants have a life-changing experience. Whether our team is comprised of followers of an organized religion or nonbelievers, we’ve discovered that together with love and service to our fellow human beings we can create truly transformational and unforgettable experiences for all those involved.
